U2 Deluxe Edition Box Set [Amazon.com Exclusive]

IT IS A GREAT DEAL. IT IS NICE TO LISTEN TO THE FIRST STEPS FROM THE GROUP,ALSO HAVING ALL THE CD TOGETHER. THE PACK IS INCREDIBLE, I LOVE IT.
SORRY ,AS I AM NOT A NATIVE MY ENCLISH COULD NOT BE VERY GOOD, BUT THE ALBUM IS VERY ENJOYABLE. SO IF YOU ARE A NUMBER ONE FAN AS I AM...BUY IT

As a fan for over 20 years, tougt that I saw everything. But this masterpiece from the past, U2 made it better. Not recommended for general use, but as U2's fan I will recommend to all who adore U2 as much as I do.

What can I say? This is one fine collection of the greatest band in the world! U2 has made a wise and awesome choice here to bring out the classic albums and rework them for today's new generation of music lovers. I am sorta the bridge between the early years of U2 and the Future of U2. I was too young to know about these 3 albums as I was growing up, and caught U2 fever in the JT/R&H era. The driving force for me to purchase this was an awesome b-side "A Celebration". I have been obsesed with this little ditty since I watched those old MTV A-Z video collections. This song struck me as no other U2 b-side. I don't know how this was left off any album and finally is back in glorious re-editing for my listening pleasure. So all in all this is an awesome set even if you own the CD's from way back or the LP's from even farther back. The sound is amazing and Edge out did himself on this. If you are a fan of U2 or just curious about this band, pick this Deluxe Edition up. The poster and the b-sides are worth it enough, then you include the albums and its just gravy on the potatoes, icing on the cake, and pickle relish on your hot dog. This is well worth the money and you save a few bucks than buying the 3 seperate remasters and no poster.

Nice package of the first 3 albums of U2. All three of them have a bonus disc with live performances or remixes of the songs on the orginal disc.
In comparison with the european edition, you get an extra box in which you can store these 3 albums, together with a mini-poster.
The 4th album - Under a blood red sky - of which a deluxe edition will come later this year, can also be stored in this box.

Despues de pensarlo por un tiempo, decidí que U2 andaba corto de dinero y por eso ponian a la venta esta caja. Me dije: "en aquella epoca tocaban musica grandiosa, creo que vale la pena volver a comprar de nuevo estas canciones (2 cd de "Boy", 1 lp y 2 cd de "October", 1 lp y 1 cd de "War", ah y del "Joshua Tree": 2 lp, 2 cd y ahora la version de lujo) y ayudarles con sus gastos y Bono siga paseando con sus amigos del jet set (incluso de Mexico!!)."
Bien, recibo el box set y quedo sorprendido por la calidad de la presentacion: 3 disco-libros en pasta dura (hardcover) con ensayos, fotos y algunas notas de the Edge. No tengo un super equipo de audio pero creo que la remasterizacion está muy bien. Aun asi creo que lo mejor son los temas extras, es lo que algunos escucharon en aquellos dias pero que muchos otros no tuvimos ni siquiera la oportunidad de conocer porque las compañias disqueras nos ofrecian lo minimo posible. Hoy recuperamos una parte de esa historia.
Ah y por mas que quien escribe el ensayo acerca de "October" sugiera que es un gran disco de U2, sigue siendo un intento fallido en su mayoria, pero con algunos muy buenos aciertos, como "Gloria". Ninguno de estos discos es perfecto pero contienen GRANDES CANCIONES. Tampoco vendieron enormes cantidades, como dicen algunos revisionistas, eso les tocó a otros artistas menos politizados de la epoca. En esos dias no nos importaba quien llegaba al #1, nos importaba la musica y el mensaje. Y tambien U2 pensaba eso, o por lo menos eso creo.
Lo unico prescindible aqui son los remixes nuevos de "New Year's day"
Ya solo nos falta esperar las ediciones remasterizadas y de lujo de "Under a blood red sky" y "The Unforgettable fire".
