Buisness As Usual...
I'm not going to jump on anyone who gave a lame review, cause different people have different tastes. G-unit is hot (still), but they're not the best. What some people need to understand is it's not even about that anymore. I say that because I can't compare a product like this to the "ringtone" era, which is "killing" me and all music by the minute. This album does nothing more than serve as a reminder that true Hip Hop Artists still exist. That's what these guys are. (You can tell, cause their videos are horrible lol). But like them or not, sit back and look at how they operate...like a well oiled machine. In 5 1/2 years they have 10 studio albums between them...11 if you count The Games. Don't even ask me how many mixtapes they have between them; Which finally brings me to the album. They completely bring the raw mixtape vibe. good lyrics that paint pictures (like they're supposed to) supported by sick, pounding loops/beats. Really, nothing fancy at all, but done to perfection./ Real qucik on Young Buck. I'm pissed about the whole thing. To me, he'll always be G-Unit, not just someone signed to G-Unit Records. Bank$ is the sickest though. / Anyhow if you want brief lesson in Hip Hop, something to bump while driving, or something to chill to while playin' pool, pick this up.

Average effort from the Unit - 3.5 stars
It's been a few years since G-Unit put out a studio album. Go back to 2002 when most of the world was getting to know who they were, eveerything they put out was on point, tight, and worth while. Millions of records and dollars later and a few years later, that's all gone and all you get from them now is average material. Not to mention my favorite, Young Buck, is gone from the group. Of the 16 songs on here, 1 is almost a classic, 7 are good, and the other 8 are average. You get Yayo and Banks on all 16 songs, and 50 is on 13. Young Buck is only on 4 and only 1 other guest is on here doing the hook on 1 song. Production is average as well. Ron Browz and Ky Miler each do 2 songs. Tha Bizness, Chris Styles, Rick Rock, Dualk Output, Ty Fyffe, Street Radio, Hit Boy, Damien Taylor, Don Cannon, Swizz Beats and Jake One all do 1 song. An average album I'd probably pass up.

Sorry G-unit/50 lovers this album does not cut it PERIOD!
First off I want to start off by saying I am not a 50/Unit hater, I do not like 50 as a person but I love music and will always buy new albums to get my fix when a new one hits stores. Beg for Mercy was by far a great album in every aspect, from the production to the lyrics. Back then Lloyd and Young Buck had no names for themselves yet this being there first album, and Yayo was in prison(Thank God, that guy is the worst hype man ever) But this album is coming off 4 years of fake beefs (Ja,Fat Joe, Jada, Game, Scarface, T.I., Lil Wayne, the list goes on) and the apparent crumble of the "Units" empire. Everyone from Mobb Deep, to Young Buck, and even trashy Oliver... I mean Olivia were all released from 50's label. Thus creating more anticipation and drama leading to T.O.S. release. I must say I was hoping this would be at least half way decent, bottom line, IT IS NOT! With what seems to be a rush to put together some songs after releasing Buck from the label to prove a point that they could make a good album without him, you can tell this is what happened because the couple songs that do feature Buck state on the album Ft. Young Buck... It just lacks in overall sound. It is not only the same lyrics we are all use to hearing on mostly every rap song in the last decade, but it is done over horrible beats with the exception of maybe 3 songs, and done very sloppy on every other level. If I could give this 0 Stars I would, I regret spending money on this album BUT since I am a collector this will go into the cd book and it will sit there, while its counter part Beg For Mercy gets played on occasion.

First impression is good
I only listed to T.O.S. entirely once. So, after a couple of more listens, I may have rated it hire. There are a couple of really good beats (I Like the Way She Do It), but I think the CD needs to be listened to a few times to truly appreciate. GUnit is still really good, but I do think their prime was when The Game was still with them. There is a slight lacking without him. When him and Buck were on every track, it made for a better CD.

Album Of The Year
Lloyd Banks said it best. This album has no compromises. Anyone that listened to the last two mixtapes would know what to expect. G-Unit doesn't care about radio or television. Yayo has stepped up since 2005. Buck has gotten worse since 2004. You can never judge a rapper from his first album. He will not be missed. Stand out tracks are Straight Outta Southside, Rider Part 2, and Casualties of War. I recommend for everyone to check Thisis50.com and get those free mixtapes, Return of the Body Snatchers and Elephant in the Sand.
