actually i was going to order it for my son in law for his birthday. i love john mayer too. i listened to the sample songs and was blown away! i love the blues and guaitar work that mayer does. WOW! great great cd. so much music too. GREAT PRICE! oh yes, can you tell i bought a cd for my son in law and one for myself! If you like John Mayer you'll love this cd

I own "Any Give Tuesday" and "As Is" and I think this album has the sweetest live versions of the three live albums.

I love his music and have seen him live 4 times, this album is like being there. Kinda.

OK, I bought both on release and for me the DVD was MUCH better.

First was just the overall look of the dvd - the commentary was a nice touch, great editing.

The MAJOR disappointment on the audio CD was well, the audio. It's all over the place. Loud one minute, muddy another. How they got the sound on the DVD so perfectly and then to jack up the audio CD is beyond me.

It has been worth buying this 2-disc CD rather than importing a couple of tracts since I enjoy the entire album. The acoustic set is particularly great. The rendition of "Daughters" is powerful. My favorite cut is "In Your Atmosphere".

Sometimes a live recording is more annoying than enjoyable, but that is not the case with "Live in LA". The enthusiasm of the crowd adds to the album. "Waiting for the World to Change" and "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" are favorites on the second disc.

I highly recommend this CD.
