Year of the Gentleman

I loved both of ne-yo's previous cd's and this 3rd album is nothing short of amazing!! True Ne-yo fans and even new Ne-yo fans will love this album.. it really compliments his style.. my favs are- so you can cry, single, mad, miss independent, lie to me, nobody and part of the list!! check it out, its definetly worth every penny!! Love u Ne-yo, keep it up!!

This is the first CD of Ne-yo's that I have ever purchased so I can not compare it to his other work but I like this a lot! Finally some adult music! I am so sick of the music out there with no meaning and no subsatance. The songs on this CD tells stories and it's not over produced like so many others (Beyonce!). I have recommended it to several of my friends!

Neyo is one of the up-and-coming R&B singer/songwriters and this album shows off his immense ability. He just seems to go from strength-to-strength with each new project.

This cd definitely was not worth me rushing to buy. The Neyo that I've grown to love is clearly not present on this album. Not that the songs are bad, it just feels like he went into a completey different direction. I guess he gave away all his good songs to other people. If you're looking for the Neyo that gave us Mirror or When you're mad he's not on this album. Save your money and time and just listen to his old stuff.

Ne-Yo has grown from his first album. The way you can tell the difference between a good artist and a great artist is how they progress with each subsequent album. Ne-Yo stated he wanted this album to be different, which he has succeeded. This album portrays a sense of maturity and growth. I like how he can create an album without collaborations and still hold his own. I think "lies" is the closet song to an R & B style.

There are about 2 songs I can live without, but other than that I give this album two thumbs up. Ne-Yo understands music and the complications of being a real man in today's world.
