About time!!! Hop Hop needed this
5 Mics with the 1996 "Source" system. The album is that good. By the time you hear the last track, you'll be researching the things Tech's talking about and find some startling truths among the sick rhymes.

If you haven't bought this CD yet and you're in line at Best Buy, Target or whatever, and you're trying to decide if you should get this vs. Carter III or whatever just came out, do yourself a favor get this one first...play it, digest it then sample the others you'll be happy you got the entre and skipped the appetizer

Definitely worth the 12.99

Best Hip Hop Album This Year
Another classic album from the best MC out there. refuses to sell his soul for more marketing and air play. Better than anything that Kanye will ever make. If he was signed to a major and they were not to puss to censor his stuff, he would win a Grammy every time he put out an album. His lyrics come from the heart and speak the truth, but he will never expect you to take his word for it. He hopes that you question him and do the research yourself.

Good but annoying
Aloha All,

I am going to be honest with my review about the long awaited 3rd world album. First off, the album is GOOD with many original tracks that most fans have not heard before. I guess my complaints and I'm sure there will be many fans including Tech that will tell me to go F*** myself would have to be that there is too much ancillary information on the album besides music. What I mean is that there are too many rappers talking and stressing how hard they are and to go f*** ourselves because we are not worthy etc, etc... Basically, many parts of this album scream that we are immature and we are so hard core/gangster don't mess with us. I get that and I understand that and any revolutionary needs to have that basic mindset in order to accomplish their goals, but once you reach a certain point I think the focus should then be the music/people. Isn't that why we listen in the first place, isn't the music what will eventually motivate us to change our mind set, our lives, our world. Also, if we truly want change in Amerika don't you think it might be a good start to build up the oppressed not denigrate them? Just my thoughts! Much peace & respect!

Aloha & Mahalo,

D...

Lyrically Breathtaking
Stop reading these reviews and just buy this album already.

If you love hip hop, or truth, or politics, if you love people that give you art that's grounded in reality rather than fantasy then you owe it to yourself to pick up this masterpiece from one of the hardest working poets out there.
