In Search of Sunrise, Vol. 7: Asia

Absolutely another great mix from DJ Tiesto! It's definitely my soundtrack to the summer of '08.

If you are a Tiesto fan, you will certainly enjoy this album - whether it be at the club with disc 2 or having morning coffee with disc 1.

What can I say?
Once again the Master has surpassed himself!
Another wonderful compilation of excellent music. Never the same, always the best.

If you liked ISOS6, you'll moderately hate ISOS7. If you love Armin Van Buuren, however, you'll love ISOS7. It's very trancey and not very warm, as opposed to ISOS6 (the very best ISOS album since number 3) that is very warm sounding. Both discs on ISOS6 are absolutely amazing. ISOS7 has a handful of good tracks across both discs. I give it a C-

As far as the ISOS series goes, I would put this in the top 3 along with Vol 3 and Vol 6.
I really enjoyed the 1st cd. I know a lot of people are talking about how great the 2nd cd is but I like vocal trance. Don't get me wrong, cd 2 is great as well. I think that's one of the things that's so brilliant about the later volums in this series, the 2 cd sets. That way DJ Tiesto can offer the melodic vocal trance along with the club trance and it fits together to harmoniously create the total package.
If you've liked the previous 3 volums you'll love this one as well.

I know I have a hard time differentiating between all of these double-disc sets that seem to come out endlessly in the trance/dance genre. Soooo many to choose from, it's hard to know what's just good and what's great. I'm hooked on Armin Van Buuren's State of Trance series and I think I can now say that I'm officially hooked on Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise. This newest version Vol. 7 Asia is really good!

It's always a tough go to keep me interested in a mix CD for 2+ hours, but Tiesto's ISOS 7 does it. There's a good mix of instrumentals vs. vocals too so it doesn't get too stagnant. It's uplifting for electronic music, and I loved the vibe/atmosphere throughout both discs. There is some "epic trance" on here, which is great.

So, overall a very good choice amongst the sea of electronica double discs. Definitely recommended.
