Refreshing................
After a ton of albums in which the girl sings about what an abusive jerk her guy is, it's nice to hear a contrast. Oh, he has faults...check the lead cut, "Stronger Woman" [which is really more about her]...and he has some standards to meet..."I Do"...but this is still a record about a girl devoted to a man worth loving. Guys listening to this will say "I wish...."; Kate Nash [and others] will make you say "Thank God...".
Jewel is a very pretty girl, with a quite pleasant voice. I might argue with the "Pop Rock" designation; this is more country, which is not my style. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and bet you will, too.

Jewel - Perfectly Clear - review
As always, Jewel's voice is amazing! Absolutely loved the album! However, I hope she doesn't go "all country" really like the older stuff better. Yet, let's face it, she could sing the alphabet, and we'd by the album! 2008-08-08

Natural Country Star
Jewel has always had a somewhat folksy style, and she is a natural to sing country. I enjoy listening to the set, and I recommend listening a second time since I liked it even better the second time when I listened closer. 2008-08-03

Not too country
When I heard that Jewel was doing a country CD, I was apprehensive. I was worried it would be too far away from the type of music she does best. I was wrong. This CD will make her fans happy, and attract some new ones too. Great CD. Buy it. 2008-08-02

I don't think she's ever coming back
First off, I was a huge Jewel fan. Have every CD (up to 0304) and have seen her multiple times live.
What happened to the folky Jewel? What happened to the girl and her guitar? When she is playing live, she is amazing, especially if she is playing acoustic and not with a band. Don't get me wrong, she has some awesome songs she did with her band ("Down," "Carnivore," etc.) it just isn't the same as these over-produced albums that sound like cheesy soundtracks.
I miss her so much.
