Home Before Dark (Deluxe Edition with DVD)

When my Grandmother read in the paper that Neil's new cd was being released, she couldn't wait to get a copy. I went on amazon and much to my delight saw that the new cd came with a short dvd. I bought it immediately and she was thrilled to receive it in the mail. She loves loves loves Neil Diamond. She's shared it with all of her friends.

I am a true Neil Diamond fan. This album is excellent. It is simple and beautiful with a touch of Nashville thrown in.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this new album. Great promotion and marketing by his production company. I really love listening to Neil and his songs. I was a little disappointed by the fact that all the songs are sung with accoustic guitar and perhaps a piano, organ or string bass thrown in. No percussion at all. No electric music at all. No amazing arrangements and orchestration that we usually find in his work. Nevertheless, a good compilation of songs from the heart. Can't wait to see him in concert in August!

Neil did it once again. Age may have affected his voice a little but the same raspy tones are still their in a more moderate mode. Definitely worth adding to anyone's collection.
