3 Doors Down

The long-awaited 4th CD from 3 Doors Down is now here and I've had a chance to let it all really sink in. When I heard the clips on Amazon before its release, my feeling was like many other reviews here in that I felt it had the potential to be better that "The Better Life". After listening to it, it may not be quite that good, but I would say that both albums are even. It's tough for me to rate anything better than their debut because I still have too many fond memories of that time period and when those songs were big on the radio. This effort here, however, can definately hold it's own. One surprise is the number of slower songs on here, all of which are good. They are balanced nicely by the blend of heavier rockers and good mainstream tunes. My favorites are "It's Not My Time", "Runaway", "These Days", and "Pages". A must have for any 3DD fan!

The lyrics in "Your Arms Feel Like Home" are just Beautiful! What a way to word how so many people feel but haven't been able to say it quite this way! This is a truly talented band and this is one of their best CD's yet! Keep up the good work 3 Doors Down!

Here's the truth, this CD is terrible. I gave it 4 listens and it still sounds like junk. Too soft, too slow, too much singing and not enough rocking. Train is the only song with a riff and the lyrics are so stupid it ruins that song too. This is the CD we all hoped 3DD would not make. I had it playing in my car while a friend was riding with me and I was honestly embarassed by the music coming through my speakers. All hype and no punch. Definately no rock and roll.
