Well, well, well. From the most successful female recording artist of all time comes an album full of memorable gems that are sure to please even the most critical of critics. Mariah Carey delivers a stunning performance on E=MC2. The first and most emotionally gripping track im going to share my insight on is Bye Bye. This song speaks of lost loved ones and the deep emotion Mariah exhibits is tantalizingly impacting. While listening to this track you cannot help but reminisce about all the loved ones you lost and dont be surprised if you find yourself shedding a tear or two. Furthermore, "I Stay in Love" is another powerful piece of music that is indicitive of Mariah's relaying of true love and its everlasting mark on ones heart and soul. "I Wish You Well" is perhaps the standout track of the album. This gospel-laced track shows that Mariah's vocals, althought not in their prime, are still capable of producing immense soul. This track will bring you back to the days when Mariah's vocals were unmatched (with the exception of Whitney Houston) and will have chills streaming through your body as her voice caresses the words with unmistakeable presence. Another great song is "Last Kiss". This song will fill your heart with joy and happiness and is undoubtedly one of the best songs on the album. A catchy beat coupled with Mariahs sweet supple vocals solidify this songs place on the album. All in all there are only a couple songs on this album that are not at least good. "O.O.C." and "For the Record" are the only songs on the album that did not keep up with the greatness of this album. The songs I reviewed are all ballads. But have no fear if your looking for club tracks. That need is met here fully. That is perhaps the best part about this album. Mariah's ability to give her fans the inspirational tear jerking ballads, and at the same time incorporate the head swaying numbers that keep the balance is superior to her counterparts. Congratulations Mariah your achievements are hard earned, and well deserved. 2008-06-09

No....No....No..Mariah, what happen?
E=MC2, does she even know what that means? And who wrote these songs? I hope she didn't. Mariah has a beautiful and amazing voice, but the songs on this album IN MY OPINION do not go with her voice at all. I was highly disappointed after listening to this album. I kept thinking maybe I need to give it another chance and listen to it again..and I did..and I am still disappointed.
Out of all the songs on this album I only like two, which are Migrate and For The Record. Her last album was definitely a hit, but this one is a flop. Try again Mariah and to all the people who gave her four and five star reviews did we listen to the SAME album?

Better than The Emancipation of Mimi!
I'll be honest...I love Mariah Carey! I have been a fan of hers since she came out and have RELUCTANTLY followed her down the R&B path she insists on taking (yes...I am one of those fans who prefers her big ballads). I was really shocked at how well The Emancipation of Mimi did as it was not one of my favorite CD's of hers. In my opinion this CD is much better and has become one of my favorite MIMI CD's (even without any big ballads). Buy it...you'll like it. :) 2008-06-05

Mariah Carey to the 2nd Power.
Mariah witnessed triumph in 2003 with the release of her highly acclaimed album, The Emancipation Of MiMi. From the popular, melodic, 'We Belong Together' to the upbeat, 'It's Like That'. I was hesitant to listen to this album because there was no possible way she could ever top 'The Emancipation of MiMi.' I'm not saying that there are some, 'We Belong Together's' on there, but the album is so versatile and fresh. From the reggae, 'Cruise Control' featuring Damian Marley, to 'I Stay In Love', a lovely ballad that I often put on repeat on my MP3 player. Although, she does not show off her five octave range or flaunt extremely high notes, you will bob your head and find yourself relating to the love ballads, 'Last Kiss' and 'Love Story'. The lyrics are impeccable and I'm sure as women, we can ALL relate to the problems and triumphs Mariah discusses on the album. No, she's not singing about a 'Hero', but she has definitely saved us from the lackluster and superficial music we are subject to nowadays. 2008-06-05
