E=MC2

I was really looking forward to this album because I enjoyed 'The Emancipation of Mimi.' I bought it the day it came out and listened to it right away. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed! I found the album to be boring, uninspiring, and very predictable. Most of the songs sound the same. Songs like Migrate & Side Effects have been done by other artists so many times before. They do not showcase Mariah's true voice. This album also attempted to show some fun with Cruise Control but it becomes irritating after a few listens. She does pull it off in I'm That Chick. This song heads more towards the dance genre and is different from other Mariah tracks.
The ballads on this album are too dull and have no emotion. The only song I enjoyed was I Wish You Well. This song really comes closer to sounding like classic Mariah. Overall this album is a mess and it sounds like something out of the Pussycat Dolls catalogue. My copy is on a shelf collecting dust because I refuse to listen to it anymore. Mariah needs to be more experimental and distance herself from the R&B scene because it has become too generic and predictable. If she continues to follow this path she is going to let that powerful voice of hers go to waste. Lets hope her next album is more decent and worth purchasing.

Mariah's new CD is just ok. It's nothing to get excited about. Haven't really listen to it much. So, I'm glad I didn't go to Walmart and pay $13 for it. I'll probably end up giving the CD to my daughters.

I love E=MC2!! This cd is refreshing and I like all of the songs, which is unusual for any cd! Right now there is no rotation in my car, it's just me and MiMi! I even dropped Janet for MiMi.lol...

When I drive I usually begin listening to something else but then nothing seems quite right for the highway aside of MiMi right now...

I've never been a real big MiMi fan for some reason but I have always respected her as an amazing singer with incredible range. I have to say she was on point with this cd!!

It's funny that for her age the songs on the cd are songs you would expect from a younger talent, but aside of Beyonce there aren't any real singers that can hit those notes like MiMi... most of the "singers" now are all beauty and no real talent.....

MiMi thanks for reminding everyone that you are on the radar with both talent and beauty!!

The 'emotion' of Emotions
The clearness of Music Box
The true singles of Daydream
The personality of Butterfly
The sense of fun of Rainbow
The soul 'grandeur' of The Emancipation of Mimi

Only Glitter and Charmbracelet I consider worst albums than this (and even that, Glitter had a superb Never Too Far)

All songs from E=MC2 are between average (Side Effects, I Stay In Love, Last Kiss,..) and merely good (I'm That Chick, Touch My Body, I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time, Bye Bye,..)

No big Hits

That why I rate it 2 stars

Mariah never ceases to amaze me with her music! Every song is well written and right on beat! I love this CD!!
