Not bad...
I have to say the CD is a slightly different style from what I am used to hearing from Coldplay. Overall the CD is decent, the blending from song to song and the order that was choosen is a great listen. some of the songs are definitely not going to be number one hits in my book, but overall I usually buy a CD for one song anyways...

Coldplay does it again
I'm a huge Coldplay fan, and Viva La Vida does not disappoint. There is definitely a common death theme in many of the songs, but I didn't find it overwhelming or depressing. Chris Martin's voice is not the most amazing I have ever heard by any means, yet their music is still beautiful. His voice just fits the instruments and lyrics so well.

My favorite tracks on this album were Cemetaries of London, Lost, Viva La Vida, Violet Hill and Death and All His Friends. Lost is a great song to sing along to. Buy this album!

Excellent!!!
I'm not a very big fan of Coldplay, in fact their music always annoyed me a little...until this album. I don't know if they turned a corner writing music or if Brian Eno (the producer of this album) had a major affect in the quality of writing and production. This album is well worth purchasing and listening to over and over again. Probably the best album that's been released in the last 3 years.

Give a shot...you shouldn't be disappointed.

Living the Life with Coldplay
Man, this is the first Coldplay album I've purchased, though I've listened to their popular tunes in the past. Every song is worth listening to. The musical pieces all have an identity of their own, so that keeps you interested in listening to them over and over again(which I've been doing quite regularly). The engineering is superb and that should be no surprise since Brian Eno is involved in the making of this album.

It's a roll down the window, bang on the steering wheel while singing at the top of your lungs driving album!

Best one yet, and better than most out there
While this is merely my humble opinion, I think of myself as a fairly knowledgeable music-lover and pianist, and Viva la Vida is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Certainly the peak of Coldplay's career thus far. Christ Martin's voice has improved dramatically, and the overall medieval tone of the album gives a haunting and original kick in the butt to the boring, overplayed crap out there on MTV and most radio stations. But considering the production help from Brian Eno who lended his talents to make U2 as great as they became, it's no big surprise. The locations and instruments used in recording this album make it what it is: grandiose. But again, not everyone may feel this way, it is my humble opinion. I simply think that they reached their goal: to surpass everything they've done before.
