Daughtry

Daughtry is a great band with great music. I am not really a remember band names kind of person, so I had heard several of the songs on this CD without knowing who sang them. I looked one up to get the lyrics and realised that I had heard their name before. Bought it ... Love it.

Really, living well IS the best revenge! Daughtry gets kicked off of American Idol and then cuts an album that is easily one of the best I've heard in a good, long while. Rocker man, you done yourself proud! Some more critical types might say that "Daughtry" is standard big ballad and heartbreak anthem fare, but I say the lyrics are original, the delivery is fresh and varies between songs, and it's stuff you want to play (loudly) again and again and sing along with. No harm in that. It's a low pretense, kick a** disc that easily goes into your standard rotation with an instant addiction factor. Fantastic.

I am usually hesitant these days to purchase CD's because there may be only one or two songs on the entire thing that I care for. This CD was different. Every song is great. My only disappointment is that "Breakdown" is almost identical too his song "Conviction", which is not on the CD, and I prefer "Conviction". Other than that, I love every track.

Excellent rock album/CD! The guys that back Chris are very good and compliment his voice to a "T". One of the best albums I've bought in the last few years.

I was shocked when Chris got eliminated on the fifth season of Idol. So when I found out he was releasing an album I was one of the first in line. It did not dissapoint. All of the tracks are hardcore rock without being screechy, and unlike Bo's debut the album actually showcased Chris's amazing vocals, especially the track entitled Home ( which is one of my favorites). This album is defenitley worth a buy and I can't wait until his next one comes out!!
