Change Your Thoughts Meditation CD: Do the Tao Now!

Thank you to everyone that wrote about the distracting chanting on this CD; I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand it.
I was SO excited to get this CD and was looking forward to having a great meditation CD that I could listen to over and over and get more familar with the Tao, but the chanting was such a shock. I was thinking it must be me, I need to try harder to just go with the flow of the chanting, but it was just so annoying. I've tried many times to listen to the CD, but all I do is analyze why the chanting annoys me so much. I think the idea of having chanting on the CD is great, but it needs to be pleasing, less guttural (it sounds like he needs to clear his throat) and a bit more on tune.
I'm selling the CD on Ebay, but look forward to purchasing a different CD of his.

Dr. Dyer's previous CDs - Staying the path & 101 ways to transform yourself, have helped me tremendously in realizing my own path, keeping life's events or other people from pulling me off the path.
I was going through a tough time from losing my spouse then later also was in an abusive (mentally) relationship. By chance or perhaps by fate, I discovered the 2 CDs and then proceeded to listen to them REPEATEDLY for about 1 month. Finally Dr. Dyer's words & phrases of wisdom gave me the realization of my own spiritual path and the courage to walk away from that non-productive relationship. I am a changed person now - more spiritually rich, calmer, more loving, more patient.

I finally had the chance to attend a talk by Dr Dyer in Detroit in NOv 2007, and was very happy to order his new meditation CD using the verses from the TAO. I have starter to listen to it while driving or while working on the tread mill. His voice and the use of the sound A have provided me with calming and reflective effects.

Dr. Dyer might not be the scholar on TAOISM, but his simple way of reading the TAO verses helps me understsand and IMPLEMENT them more in my life journey. Often, scholars make it too academics and thus make it too hard to understand and implement. I love Dr. Dyer's K.I.S.S. principle.

I think we can read books and books but if we don't act on whatever we learn, then we will not be better than we were yesterday. Luckily, Dr. Dyer's meditation CD would do just that - helping me becoming a better person by letting me changing myself subconsciously a little bit every day. Again, $15 is cheap to have a therapist with you at all times.

I strongly recommend his CDs to those who realize that their own inner thoughts dictate their happiness or the lack thereof and are looking for the way to change things from within. His CDs and Reading would do just that.

Unfortunately, this CD did not come close to my expectations. If you want to hear Wayne Dyer read the Tao line by line, interspersed with oms here and there, then this is for you. It didn't work for me.

I'm a fan of Dr.Dyer and his work but I could not listen to this CD. Instead of him repeating Tao over and over a chime or bong or even Buddhist Monks chanting would have been easier and better to listen to. Sorry Dr. Dyer but this is not one of your better products. I returned the CD and requested and received a refund. At this point I'm not sure how this will affect my future purchases of his products. I had to give it one star in order to submitt my review otherwise I would not have given it one.

I absolutely love this book, the author and the publisher. I just wish I could have afforded next day shipping so I could have changed my life that much faster.
