deep blue something
Fantastic dance album that is varied and surprisingly unrepetitive, with full-out trance anthems as well as down-tempo chillout tracks...
Justine Suissa's voice isn't the most powerful, but her plaintive vocals suit the beats well...
The bonus disc (available only in the S'pore edition) include remixes of past hits like 'Beautiful Together' and 'Sky Falls Down'...

A Great Album
A good cd, worth 4 stars. I like the main singer, she has a great, alluring voice.
I usually like to have atleast one "go to" track on a CD. Here, there are no truly stand out songs. They all really blend toghether as one whole experience. That's good and bad in some ways. I think for a rock CD that isn't the way to go, but electronica such as this it's forgiveable because I'm more likely to take it all in as a whole.
Even with that being said they do have some nice tracks. 'If I could FLy' is a nice track, along with breaking ties. They just don't have that extra something that they need to really stand out on there own.
That being said Im not dissappointed I made a purchase. If you like this type of music you'll surely like this album.

Big-Room Melodies for your Living Room
For the better part of a decade, Above and Beyond and Oceanlab have been making some of the best melodic dance music around. Here, all of their emotive energy and raw musical capabilities have been focused into a smaller space - one more fit to a listening experience built around a living room evening or sunny afternoon drive, but one every bit as rewarding and visceral as the best big of big room experiences.
If you know exactly who this is and how long we've been waiting for this album, then the best I can say is that it's likely every bit as good as you might have hoped. If you've no idea who this is or what kind of music it is, let me put it this way. This is a mid-tempo, pop-ears-friendly album made by three DJs who have spent the past decade making really big, banging melodic dance music for thousand-plus clubs all over the world - think Ibiza, London, Rio, Melbourne, Amsterdam, Moscow, and all points in between. (Heck, as DJs these guys played to a million people in Rio last New Years. Yes, for real a million.) If you've wondered what the music part of good dance music sounds like, here's as good a place as any to start.
Consistently top-notch vocals from Justine Suissa and best-in-class production values across the board make this one just as fun on headphones at the crack of dawn as cranked to eleven on the home stereo during the evening.
Highly recommended both for long-time Anjunabeats fans and those looking to take their first steps into the team's musical works.

Beautiful CD
My best friend called me several months ago, telling me to buy this album. I trust he knows what I like in music and purchased it from Amazon. After a couple listens, I must admit I enjoyed what I heard but wasn't blown away.
Now, it's a few months later, and Sirens of the Sea is my most listened to CD of '08. I travel a lot for work, and have played it for several co-workers who I normally wouldn't play trance or techno with. Every one of them has been impressed, and I know at least two have purchased the CD!
Good music can transport you from your day to day. Sirens of the Sea is a favorite vacation I plan to revisit for many years to come.

Sirens of the Sea
If you love electronic music but would like something softer once in a while this a great album.
1. The production values and musicianship are of the highest caliber.
2. The lyrical content is of a higher nature.
3. the singers voice is beautiful and haunting.
I can listen to this cd/album all day over and over. It really is a beautiful piece of art. It is reflected in the care and quality of the cd/album art.
