High School Musical

This is an awesome soundtrack and it was at such a great price. What a great buy!!

I bought this CD to practice for my audition in a local production of HSM. I really only focus on the two ensemble numbers, "Stick to the Status Quo" and "We're All in this Together". All of the songs are sung and played well. The lyrical content is perfect for children. Very small ones can dance to the aforementioned ensemble numbers; older kids can croon along with the ballads. Tweens and teens will love this musical, as it focuses on their generation. For example, in "Stick to the Status Quo", brainiac Martha Cox admits her passion is "hip hop". (You won't find that in the other delightful musical, GREASE!)

Adults probably won't find much substance, but they'll be thankful the songs are inoffensive. If you want G-rated family entertainment, this is the CD for your home!

The tunes are catchy and my daughters, 7 and 4, love to listen, sing and dance. It makes the car ride faster ... but it drives their Dad crazy. The songs really stick in your head. I don't mind dancing around to the music with them. It's fun.
