childhood memory
my sisters and I listened to this lp constantly when we were kids--have most of the skits and songs memorized. It's such a kick to share it with my kids "music like it use to be," says my son. 2008-10-20

My kids Love This!
Perfect for parents wary of the messages our kids are given through the popular music of today. My own kids are too old for nursary ryhmes & baby music, but I am not ready for all of the songs on the radio about girls trying to get boys attention. My 7 year old won't let me turn off the car until the 'Parents are people' song is over. Plus, I listened to this as a kid & I love it too. P.D. 2008-09-28

Did they say that?
While this is a little outdated (I remember listening to it when I was young in the 70's--therefore it touches on some of the topics of equality--hence Free To Be You and Me), the tunes and stories are still very funny and very catchy. I have even listened to it without my daughter. However, when listening to it again for the first time I did have a "did they just say that?" moment. The that was, "you're a jerk." 2008-09-19

Very Uplifting, Message Still Inspires Today
I remember this inspirational program when I was a teenager. Marlo Thomas should be credited with being the first to instill in young people that they are free to be whatever, and whomever, they'd like to be. 2008-08-27

A Classic Kids' Album
Great songs and funny skits from TV and comedy stars like Mel Brooks. Teaches kids good, progressive values using catchy, folky tunes even adults can enjoy. 2008-07-03
